Most isolated region of the Pantanal receives cameras to reinforce combat against forest fires

Installed in the Serra do Amolar and Porto Jofre, at the border of Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso, the equipment transmits live images from 2.5 million hectares to the monitoring center. The system can identify the fire at its early stages, and the exact location is relayed to firefighters or brigades.
